MinebeaMitsumi's linear regulators (LDOs) features products that take advantage of the strengths of both CMOS and bipolar processes : they support output currents from 100 mA to 1.5 A and offer additional functions such as soft start, reverse current protection and auto discharge, as well as output current detection, temperature sensor output and other special functions are available. MinebeaMitsumi MM1877 is a 1.5A LDO regulator with a low saturation voltage. In addition to a low-saturation voltage (0.26V typ., Io=1.5 A), the device has a low voltage output with a minimum of 0.9 V, and is therefore capable of low-voltage operation. This device is offered in the PKG TO–252–5 package featuring high heat dissipation and in the small-sized PKG HSOP–8A package. The thermal shutdown circuit in addition to an over-current protection circuit
contributes to the reliability improvement of the product.
