For more than two decades, piezo technology has been instrumental in the proliferation of solid state electronics. Traditionally, nearly all low and high-end AM / FM commercial radios use piezo band-pass filters. However, applications are also found in cordless telephones, cellular systems, 2-way communications, and the television industry. As a world leader in the development of piezo technology, Token Electronics has developed specialized piezo materials which when combined with an advance design have resulted in a complete line of practical, low-cost ceramic filters for entertainment and communications applications.
Token's LT10.7M are monolithic devices that use the energy trapped thickness vibration mode. This operating principle is based on the fact that it is possible to obtain an excellent resonant element with low spurious vibration by complying with certain theoretical design parameters. These parameters include the physical dimensions of the piezo element, the electrode pattern and the associated mass loading effect of the electrodes. Token ranks the LT10.7 family by center frequency. This ranking means that a given LT10.7 will be marked with a colour and will have the center frequency indicated in the technical specifications table.
Token's ceramic filters LT10.7M are available in three series:
- LT10.7M for FM receiver (Murata SFELF10M7 compatible),
- LT10.7M A10 Low insertion loss : 2.5±2.0 dB ~ 4.5±2.0 dB (Murata SFELF10M7 A10 compatible ),
- LT10.7M wideband 950 KHz at 20dB / Narrowband 95 KHz at 20dB (Murata SFELF10M7 DBS receiver filter compatible)
The narrowband series (LT10.7M) has stable low noise and temperature characteristics. This series is suitable for European car radio or AM conversion. The wideband LT10.7M series are designed to complement conventional ceramic filters that do not achieve wideband characteristics.
